Who is responsible for your data
AbleVan is run by David, in Madrid, Spain, who is the data controller for the information you send through this website. You can contact him about anything on this page at info@ablevan.com.
What data we ask for
The enquiry form asks where and when you need the van, how many people are travelling and how many use a wheelchair, your name and email, and optionally a phone number and a short comment. Please do not include medical details.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and to check suitable vehicle options. We do this because you ask us to, as a step before any possible contract (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR). We need your name and email to reply; the other fields help us find a suitable van. Receiving optional news from us is a separate choice based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, and it is never needed to send an enquiry. We do not make automated decisions about you.
Who receives it
Your enquiry is sent through Formspree, a form service that forwards it to us by email and keeps a copy for up to 30 days on its free plan. Formspree is a company based in the United States; we are still confirming where it processes the data and the terms of its data processing agreement, and this page will be updated with that detail. To check availability we pass rental companies only what they need for that: your dates, destination, how many people are travelling and how many use a wheelchair, and anything you tell us about the vehicle you need.
Cookies and analytics
At this moment the website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, this information and the consent mechanism will be updated first.
Retention and your rights
We keep your enquiry while we are dealing with it and for a reasonable period afterwards; the exact period will be stated here before the service opens. Formspree keeps its own copy for up to 30 days. Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its use, or ask for it in a portable format: write to info@ablevan.com and we will reply. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD, www.aepd.es) or to the authority in your own country.
